Betty Vandenbosch, Ph.DBetty Vandenbosch, Ph.D., is the Vice-President of the Kaplan University Business and Technology Schools. Dr. Vandenbosch came to Kaplan in 2008 from Case Western Reserve University, where she served as the Associate Dean of Executive Education and External Relations at the Weatherhead School of Management. Prior to her arrival at Kaplan, Betty served in various faculty and leadership roles at the Weatherhead School of Management, where she taught, developed curriculum, and managed the executive education programs. In 2000 and 2004 she was awarded the Executive Education Teaching Award and in 2001, the Masters Programs Teaching Award. She also researched and wrote about the impact of information technology on individual and organizational performance. Her work received best paper awards at the Administrative Sciences of Canada Association in 1995, 1996 and 2000, and a top three paper award at the Academy of Management in 2000. Prior to entering academia, Betty spent seven years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company in Toronto and in Amsterdam. She earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Western Ontario. Betty is the author of Designing Solutions (Jossey-Bass, 2003).She serves on the board of the New Theatre and is a member of FAB! (Funding Arts in Broward County). |
