Stephanie SylvestreStephanie's passion is finding the right mix of people, processes and technology to create a truly efficient and effective organization. Stephanie Sylvestre has a long history of root cause problem solving in both the for-profit and non-profit arena. Her success is predicated on her ability to bring together diverse teams to analyze and drill-down to the true cause of issues. She accomplishes this by facilitating brain storming, analysis and problem resolution sessions. Stephanie started her career as a Technical writer and quickly moved to IT Quality Assurance. In her various roles as an IT Quality Assurance professional in consulting and at Burger King Corporation, she used proactive problem solution to ensure quality while reducing cost and delivering to specifications. Most recently, she has helped turn around the Belafonte TACOLCY Center, a non-profit in Liberty City, by helping to create and implement the center's strategic plan, upgrade its IT infrastructure while cutting costs by 50%, streamline business processes while creating a culture of responsibility, accountability and fun. Most people describe Stephanie as a strong leader who is goals-oriented and consistently delivers on objectives. In her spare-time, Stephanie enjoys volunteering and socializing with her friends. To this end she is co-leading Miami's fifth Habitat for Humanity Women Build, co-founded the MiamiMinded Group (meetings of great minds), serves as the Program Chair for Communities in School Board of Directors and is a member of the New Theatre Board of Directors, reviews grants for United Way Impact Council 0 to 5 yrs. She is executing against the Liberty City Action Plan that she wrote while on a sabbatical by mentoring 3 of Liberty City future leaders. She is a member of The Commonwealth Institute, United Way Young Leaders, United Way Women's Leadership and the Little Black Book Club. Stephanie grew up in Belize and moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California where she attained a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, after which she attained a Masters in International Studies & International Economics from the University of Miami. For 9 yrs, she was the Honorary Consul of Belize-Miami, its official governmental representative. |
